In this role, you will carry out environmental maintenance within LHP neighbourhoods and properties, including cleaning empty homes, garden clearances, disposing of unwanted property items and supporting the wider repairs team ensuring our homes meet the required re-let standards You'll be given your own company vehicle, branded work clothes so that you can feel proud to represent LHP, and the tools that you need to complete your job. What will a typical day be like as an Environmental Task Team Operative

• Youll work as part of a close team to clean void properties and remove rubbish, abandoned items such as furniture and damaged/inoperative household fittings.
• You will help clear our gardens, bin stores and communal areas of rubbish and unwanted items, ensuring the neighbourhoods are clean, tidy, and places our customers can be proud of.
• Youll collect and remove refuse deposited on LHP land due to fly-tipping or other instances.
• Youll identify and report environmental hazards, pollution issues, litter, abandoned vehicles, and graffiti to the respective bodies.
• Ensure strict control of materials used, with minimum wastage to demonstrate value for money.
• Youll be responsible for safely storing chemicals and handling and removal of medical instruments (sharps) and other hazardous waste in line with COSHH regulations.
• Youll take photographic evidence of environmental hazards and store evidence as directed, recording all work undertaken for information and monitoring purposes to comply with HSE regulations.
• Youll be active and on your feet all day working in our neighbourhoods, regardless of the weather conditions.

Be a great team player being able to work effectively with other people. 2. Have a can do attitude to any challenge presented to you. 3. Ability to work flexibly because priorities and work can change at short notice throughout each day. 4. Knowledge of safe working practices in respect of the lifting and moving of large items. 5. Have a good level of fitness and capability to lift large/bulky items. 6. Knowledge of the operation of small plant equipment (generators, pressure cleaning equipment, etc.). 7. Ability to operate small power tools and other hand tools. 8. Basic knowledge of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). 9. A full clean driving license
