Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Site Cost Engineer, reporting directly to the Cost Manager to join our project team based in Teesside, UK. About the mission we offer you: Technip Energies and their partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the worlds first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North-East of England. The successful candidate will be site-based once the site office is established but until then will work on a hybrid basis, attending the Milton Keynes, London, and Paris offices as required. The Environmental Specialist will ensure that all project activities comply with the environmental regulations. In addition, they will monitor all aspects of environmental compliance at the project.
- Monitor the environmental aspects at the project.
- Carry out environment specific site inspections.
- Carry out environmental audits of contract and environmental plan.
- Give environmental advice to the T.EN team and the subcontractors.
- Coach site personnel on environmental improvement and controls.
- Monitor all emission controls and environmental metrics.
- Attend HSE meetings and give advice.
- Liaise with Governmental agencies as required.
- Be able to develop environmental plan for commissioning phase of the project.
- Submit weekly/ monthly environmental reports to T.EN management.

- Experience in similar positions on large scale construction/engineering projects in the UK. Proven competences
- Extensive experience working in the industry at a similar, or higher level.
- Must have experience with regulatory compliance for the environment working with construction projects in the UK under: Environment Act / CDM / COMAH Regulations.
- Member of The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)., Environmental degree or diploma.
