Full Job Description

This is a fixed term contract (maternity cover) role for 12 months. The Events Manager is

responsible for every aspect of an event, from initial planning to post-event follow-up, ensuring a successful and memorable experience for all participants. At Colliers, the successful candidate will work as part of the Marketing & Communications team to plan and execute high quality events for the UK business to enhance client relationships and promote the Colliers brand. This is a hands-on role requiring a dynamic, energetic, and innovative individual, with excellent communication and organisation skills, a sharp eye for detail, and who loves creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

The desired candidate would be responsible for organising, coordinating, and overseeing events, working closely with our ee earning teams and stakeholders to ensuring that we are optimise the business development and brand amplification opportunities of key events.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Planning and Conceptualising Events: Develop the overall event concept, objectives, themes, and goals. This includes working closely with stakeholders and the marketing team to understand their vision and expectations. It also requires working closely with our Client Engagement team to ensure that guest list are focussed and we can maximise BD and cross selling.

1. Budget Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses (venues, catering, entertainment, etc.) stay within the budget, communicating all costs and ROI to key stakeholders.

1. Stakeholder Management: Working with the CEO, Head of Client Engagement, Head of Marketing and other senior business leaders to identify target audience and using Salesforce to generate appropriate invite lists and record event attendance. Briefing the creative team to produce event collateral (invitations, menus, etc.) and managing end to end the invitation process, ensuring that guests have the optimal seamless experience and all internal stakeholders and regularly keep up to date on RSVP's.

1. Venue Selection and Logistics: Research and book venues, considering location, capacity, amenities, and accessibility. Managing logistics such as transportation, accommodation, and catering.

1. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors (e.g. caterers, audio-visual companies, etc.) to ensure services are delivered on time and meet expectations.

1. Brand Positioning: Ensure that all events are aligned with the Colliers brand positioning, always monitoring the use of the company's brand. Ensuring that all spokespeople, panelists, and home team host are brief on company values, key messages and have any relevant media/presenting training (as provided for by our communications teams).

1. Event Timeline and Scheduling: Develop a detailed timeline for the event, making sure everything happens on time, including rehearsals, guest arrivals, presentations, and performances.

1. Risk Management and Problem Solving: Anticipate and address potential problems before and during the event. This may involve troubleshooting issues with technology, weather, or unexpected changes.

1. On-site Management: Supervise the event on the day of the event to ensure everything runs according to plan. This includes managing event flow, troubleshooting any problems, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

1. Post-Event Evaluation: After the event, assess the success of the event, gather feedback from attendees, clients, and team members, and create reports for future improvements. Work closely with the marketing and client engagement teams on salesforce lists ahead of building a key - learnings debriefing document to share with the team.
