Full Job Description
Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team based in Exeter. As a key member of the Facilities Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of essential services that contribute to the smooth running of our facilities and the well-being of all our staff and patients.,
- Coordinating Cleaning Services: Oversee the provision of high-quality cleaning services to ensure that all Trust facilities meet hygiene and infection control standards.
- Pest Control Management: Coordinate pest control services to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and patients.
- Waste Management: Ensure the effective management of waste disposal, including hazardous and clinical waste, in compliance with relevant regulations and Trust policies.
- Catering Services: Supervise the catering services, ensuring that nutritional needs are met and standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.
- Line Management: Manage and support a team of Facilities staff, providing leadership, training, and development to ensure high performance.
- Tendering Process: Manage the tendering process for contracts and services, ensuring value for money, compliance, and quality of service delivery.
- Contractor and Supplier Relationships: Lead relationships with external contractors and suppliers, ensuring service delivery meets Trust requirements and contractual agreements.
- Deputy Function: Provide support to the Head of Facilities in their absence, ensuring the continuation of high standards and service provision across all areas of facilities management.
Experience in facilities management, with a strong understanding of cleaning, waste, pest control, and catering services. - Proven track record in line management and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
