Full Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring delivery of safe, quality, customer focused services across the Estate and throughout our buildings; positively impacting on the customer experience. The Facilities Manager will play an essential role in coordinating and delivering holistic services, leading on the coordination and implementation of cleaning, maintenance, activities and events within and external to Buildings and the wider University Estate.

You will join a current team of 5 Facilities Managers based on the Preston campus to take responsibility for the successful management of the building environment, condition and standard to delivery an excellent student experience, ensuring all relevant facilities services are available to all users and provided to a high standard. You will be based on a zone with nominated buildings, but with the expectation of being a major part of the wider team and support whenever and wherever required to do so.

We are looking for an experienced FM with an established background in facilities management and can evidence delivering an excellent customer service. You will be able to work both within a team and under your own supervision. This role requires someone who has a positive, can do attitude to problem solving and embraces change with the customer being their focus on service delivery. The successful FM will be a key member of the facilities team so will hold proven communication and people management skills along with the ability to work alongside their colleagues to influence positive change and forward thinking.
