Full Job Description
St Cuthberts are currently seeking a Family Support officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
- You would work as part of the Pastoral and safeguarding team.
- To liaise with parents with the intention of developing strong relationships between school and home to improve behaviour and / or attendance
- Leading on EHAs.
- To offer emotional and practical support to parents and students as required.
- To have a good understanding of social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) on attendance.
- To liaise with external agencies as required and have a good understanding of how they function e.g. CAMHS, Education Welfare, Social Services and signpost accordingly.
- To provide strategies and action plans to improve engagement with school as appropriate.
