Full Job Description

Overall Purpose of the Role Disney Destinations International is responsible for the commercial support and marketing of Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line within the UK and other EMEA (O-EMEA) countries! WDTCI is the in-house tour operator selling DLP WDW and DCL direct to consumer (B2C) and to trade partners (B2B). The Finance Assistant is responsible for the delivery of financial support which drives the overall growth of the WDTCI by providing accurate and timely financial services of a wide range of Disney products. This role assists the finance team in the day to day running of finance functions. Areas of Responsibility

  • Ensure smooth running of the accounts payable function and accuracy of supplier invoices, supervising purchase order limits for vendors and raising new POs as required.
  • Assist with P-Card reconciliations
  • Provide accurate cost recognition and assist with regular monthly activities (e.g. month and quarter end close tasks, journals, reconciliations, etc.) with focus being either on DCL and WDW or DLP and transport providers
  • Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliation for deferred and prepayment accounts
  • Assist with supervising finance tracking systems, including scheduling of monthly reviews with budget holders
  • Check weekly trade payments through the clearing houses and collaborate closely with trade team on discrepancy resolution
  • Reconcile Disney gift cards on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile and account for ticket standalone bookings.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and advise management of findings accordingly
  • Assist with investigating charge-backs and liaise with payment providers
  • Conduct weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Be a Casual Buyer for the WDTCI and assist the team with all SAP/Coupa related queries including tracking of all purchase orders, investigating and responding to supplier issues
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

  • Accountable for performing Casual Buyer role as per Company guidelines, Flexibility for occasional UK, European or international travel may be required
  • Contribution to ad-hoc projects as the business requires
  • Flexible hours may be required to meet business needs

    Degree-level education in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • SAP experience within a similar function, desirable
  • Experience of working in travel industry in a finance function can be effective.
