You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. As part of this role, there is an expectation of travel between our office hubs of London, Bolton and Ipswich on a regular basis. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the exploration and implementation of artificial intelligence and automation tools to enhance operational excellence and the decision-making process.
  • Collaborate on offshoring strategies and Global Business Services automation to streamline Finance operations.
  • Develop and implement a phased plan for finance processes to provide efficient working method and reduce reliance on end-user computing.
  • Leverage digitalisation and AI tools to extract maximum value from finance operations.
  • Take ownership of the design and delivery of initiatives aimed at modernising and optimising the performance and efficiency of the AXA UK finance Team.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of initiative delivery plans incorporating benefits, costs and risks.
  • Build and lead a resource team from existing teams to support delivery while managing BAU activities.
  • Understand and align with the objectives of all pillars across the Finance Strategy ensuring consistency and managing cross pillar dependences.

  • Experience of working in a commercial insurance Finance function with relevant Accountant CIMA/ ACCA qualifications is preferred.
  • Proven background of collaborating on offshoring strategies and Global Business Services automation to streamline Finance operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of the exploration and implementation of artificial intelligence and automation tools including ARIS and JIRA.
  • Previous experience in a FP&A / FBP / Cost Management team before with a sound understanding of finance teams working to support business decision making.
  • Proven ability to drive standards and provide challenge and improvement recommendations to ensure controls and standards are achieved
  • Proven ability to analyse a broad range of management information, identify recommendation actions and develop reports that drive improvements
  • Prince 2 Foundation, APM, PMI, ISEB Project Management or equivalent.
  • Business organisational development and change experience in an Agile environment.
