Based in the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre (JCBC) on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, the role holder will support the Business & Operations Manager to manage finances and grants processes, providing strategic input and ensuring compliance with financial procedures and regulations, and grant sponsor terms. They will lead a team of 5 staff to provide a high quality and customer focussed service.

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Finance Manager to join our professional services team. The Finance Manager will ensure effective management and coordination of the Department of Haematology (DoH) and Cambridge Stem Cell Institute's (CSCI) finance function, which includes a large and complex research grant portfolio., Substantial relevant experience in a finance management role, preferably in a Higher Education environment, is essential. This should include both general financial accounting and research grant management. Experience of managing a team and an ability to deliver a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, are also required. This is a both a fast paced and challenging role and so efficient time management and prioritisation skills are necessary.
