Full Job Description
TPS is tight knit team of transport planning professionals working out of our office in Horbury,Wakefield. We offer a nurturing working environment, encouraging every member of ourteam to realise their full potential.With an extensive client and project portfolio and ambitious plans for growth, we have anexciting opportunity for the right candidate to join us as our Office & Finance Administrator.You will be a key member of the team, supporting the wider functions of the business toensure the smooth running of the office and the effective management of companyfinances.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Finance:
- Accurately and effectively merge bank statements and accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices.
- Manage monthly expenses processes.
- Ensuring customer invoices and suppliers payments are made on time and correctly.
- Credit controlling overdue invoices.
- Ad Hoc reporting.
- Reconciling VAT and producing VAT return. Office Administration:
- Day-to-day business administration and assisting the organisation's HR functions by keeping personnel records up to date, and assisting with new starters.
- Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date and supporting their implementation, as necessary.
- General day to day management of the office and building environment, including management of required suppliers, contractors, inventory.
- Booking transport and accommodation for team members.
- Dealing with telephone enquiries.
Experience of working in a similar role. - Experience of QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Excellent written and numeracy skills., Good communication skills, and a confidence to engage with other team members and clients.
- Excellent organisation skills and an ability to manage competing demands on your time.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- A desire to work in an SME environment, with the opportunity to improve efficiencies within the business.
- An ability to be flexible to reflect business needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
