Full Job Description
The Financial Systems Functional Architect works in the Financial Processes, Systems and Assurance (FPSA) Team. This role involves acting as a point of expertise on the University's deployment of Oracle EBS R12.2, and supporting the Financial Systems Development Team to design and implement effective financial system solutions to support the University's financial operations on Oracle and other systems overseen by FPSA. The postholder will have significant involvement with foundational digital transformation projects and workstreams resulting from the People and Finance Service Transformation (PFST) Programme and other initiatives. - Oracle R12 EBS Expertise: Proven leadership in Oracle R12 EBS finance modules within large or complex organizations, including heavily customized solutions and integrations.
- Implementation & Optimisation: Strong experience in configuring and optimizing Oracle R12 finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Projects, AGIS, Procurement).
- Upgrades & Integrations: Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS upgrades, patches, customizations, and new functionality implementation, including tax engine, procurement, and workflows.
- Finance & System Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and ERP integrations (IMB TM1 Cognos, SAP Concur, Dynamics solutions).
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Experience leading teams, managing change professionals, and influencing senior management at the Director level.
- Business & Technical Translation: Ability to translate business requirements into functional system configurations and solutions.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project & Process Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvement in financial systems.
- Oracle Certification: Oracle R12 EBS certification in relevant finance modules is highly desirable.
