Full Job Description

Fleet Services are responsible for the management and maintenance of the council's Fleet of vehicles, through internal workshops and outsourced provision. The Fleet of vehicles includes cars, vans and tractors as well as vehicles subject to O Licence requirements. Fleet Services are also responsible for driver and vehicle compliance.

As a Fleet Compliance Officer, you will ensure that the council complies with Health and Safety and Road Traffic legislation. Duties of the role include ensuring everyone who drives for the council has a valid license and insurance.

We are looking for a candidate who is organised, efficient and able to plan and prioritise work independently. You need to be a good communicator, have good both written and verbal skills, and be confident in dealing with staff and members of the public; good IT skills are also essential. Experience or interest in the Fleet industry is desirable but not essential.
