Full Job Description
- Act as Senior for the team - being the main point of expertise and knowledge with regards family finding and placements within the fostering service. The post holder will work as part of the Children's Family Finding and Placements team, and in partnership with stakeholders, to lead on finding placements for looked after children which meet identified needs and best outcomes.
- Ensure robust systems for the effective implementation and delivery of family finding, tracking and monitoring.
- Provide regular reports to the Team Managers within the Fostering Service and Service Delivery Manager with a focus on feeding back key recommendations for efficiencies or improvements and highlighting best practice.
- Arrange and match children and young people in care needing foster care placements.
- Develop a direct working relationship with all internal foster carers in managing their availability, involving foster carers in improving our placement capacity through provision of information, development of systems and processes and receiving feedback to improve accuracy in relation to foster placement availability.
