Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Fostering Strategic Lead - PanelAdvisor within Shropshire Council's Childrens Placement Service, based inShrewsbury.The role provides the opportunity to work with Panel Members, Social Workers, FamilySupport Workers, and Foster Carers to continue to make a positive impact on the livesof children in Shropshire. You will work across service, supporting the shared visionfor children to receive the best care and for Shropshire Councils Fostering Families tobe provided the best support.As Panel Advisor you will lead on all Fostering Panel functions, including recruitment,inductions, appraisals, training of panel members. You will provide advice and supportand aid practice development of Social Workers and quality assure all work presentedto Fostering Panel.You will report on quality assurance, service performance, areas of strength and lead onpractice development, inline with national and local indicators.You will work with the Fostering Assessment and Support Team Managers as well asthe Marketing Manager in developing service delivery. You will support and influence, You will lead on all Fostering Panel Functions, quality assurance and training tosupport learning for both panel members and practitioners. You will support a team ofpractitioners within the Fostering Service, enhancing care arrangements to improvethe outcomes for children and their families.
We are looking for a practitioner with fostering experience who is enthusiastic,motivated, positive and can work collaboratively with practitioners, Foster Carers andtheir support network to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children.
