Gap Student / Graduate Sports Assistant

The Opportunity

Oakwood School is seeking to appoint talented, pro-active, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join our school as Gap Students/Graduate Sports Assistants for the academic year 2025-26, from September 2025 to August 2026. We are a busy, thriving, happy and vibrant independent prep school with over 310 pupils aged 2 to 11 years old.

The role of the Gap student / Sports Assistants at Oakwood is one of support for pupils, staff and parents and would suit someone who is looking for a rewarding life enhancing experience in addition to developing their knowledge and skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential as well as a willingness to play a full part in the everyday needs of the school. The ability to coach a netball/hockey/rugby/football or cricket team would be advantageous.

• Required From: September 2025


• Hours: Monday - Friday (Hours vary between 07:45 - 18:00)


• Contract: 12 Month contract, Full Time working term-time hours (with additional hours and pay available during school holidays supporting the wrap-around care provision of the school).


• Salary: Dependent on experience and/or qualification (including staff benefits package).
