Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a Gateway Delivery Officer to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months to cover Maternity Leave. In this fast-paced role, you will be working with households living in temporary and supported housing experiencing homelessness along sides providers of accommodation to have outcomes of households sustaining their current accommodation and move on to a new home. You will support and provide advice to our most vulnerable residents at a time of crisis, working with them and empowering them to resolve their threat of homelessness. In the role you will interview and assess the needs of those people who present as homeless or potentially homeless, to establish the housing duties the Council owes to applicants in accordance with relevant legislation. You will develop personal housing plans to prevent homelessness and provide practical advice and assistance on housing options. - Are you enthusiastic and driven with a can-do attitude?
- Do you want to work in a varied and rewarding role that helps families and individuals facing homelessness?, Experience of working with vulnerable clients.
- A degree in a relevant subject area or significant knowledge gained through work experience.
- Ability to deal effectively with challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage well with clients and partners
