Overview
PepsiCo is looking for GPC Quality Food Safety and Warehouse Deputy to join in Leicester R&D site. Acting as Deputy to the Quality and Food Safety Specialist to ensure an audited and certified Quality and Food Safety Management system is implemented within the Global Process Centre (GPC). Acting as the Deputy to the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure that all procedures and process are maintained as and when required to maintain our compliance to the site's Quality and Food Safety standards. Carry out duties in support of the Quality and Food Safety Management system.
Responsibilities
- Acting as deputy for the Quality and Food Safety Specialist when required
- Acting as Deputy for the Warehouse Coordinator when required - Allergen segregation, Goods in checks, Ensuring Certificate of Analysis (COA) is supplied
- Ownership of the Glass and Hard Plastics register
- Responsible for ensuring the Pathogen and Environmental Monitoring Program is implemented
- Act as Deputy HACCP Team Leader to create new HACCPs and review existing HACCPs
- Act as Train the Trainer for Allergen Champions and Metal Detection
- Responsible for conducting 20% of the required internal audits for the Food Safety Management System
- Ownership of the Quality and Food Safety action tracker - ensuring issues are resolved and closed
- Ownership of the Food Safety Near Miss process ensuring they are tracked, resolved and communicated
- Responsible for stock checking of stored materials including ingredients and finished goods - Out of Dates, Unlabeled, Logged on to the tracking system
Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience working in Food manufacturing
- Minimum of Food Safety Level 3
- Minimum of Intermediate/Level 3 HACCP
- Good working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety procedures
- Previous experience with Food Safety Audits such as AIB, FSSC22000 or BRC
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Fork Lift Truck license and/or experience preferable
- Previous experience of training associates would be an advantage
- Good planning, organisational skills, good attention to detail and computer literate (MS Office, Outlook)
- Ability to interface effectively with GPC customers from Front Line up to Director level
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable able to work with little supervision
- Effective communicator verbally and written
- Values different perspectives and experiences and establishes trust and mutual respect when working with other people regardless of professional or cultural background
- Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment where people feel respected and valued for their contributions
