Our team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement. Morrison Energy Services is a key partner in the UKPN Alliance, delivering substation build and refurbishment works across the East of England. We're looking for Groundworkers to join our Site Delivery Team. This project is working on the construction and refurbishment of High Voltage Substations (11kV to 132kV) in East Anglia and surrounding areas. As you'll need to travel with this role we'd need you to have a full UK driving licence. Are you ready to take on exciting challenges and grow your skills in a dynamic work environment? We are looking for committed people with a passion for construction and a readiness to learn! What will you be doing?

• Using your skills to read drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with installations and remedial works
• Following the company's and customer's safety procedures and permit systems
• Using hand and machine excavation equipment, placing and compacting bedding material, laying ducts and cables
• Backfilling and compacting trenches, mixing and laying concrete, using equipment such as drills and pumps
• Working in proximity to Live High Voltage apparatus above and below ground
• Operation of construction plant as well as acting as a Banksman.
  
  Experience and a sound understanding of reinforced concrete structures
• Experience in excavation and working around buried utilities
• If you have NPORS / CPCS/ NRSWA Qualifications that's great! If not, its something that can be worked towards
• A willingness to learn new skills such as steelfixing, formwork carpentry, and bricklaying
