We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic SEND specialist to lead our Curriculum Support team full-time. The successful applicant will have a track record of successful SEND practice including experience of a wide range of SPLDs and disabilities. The successful candidate should hold, or be willing to train for, Qualified Teacher status.
The Curriculum Support team currently supports 180 pupils with a variety of needs. The department has three Learning Support Assistants and an Assistant SENCo; experience of leading a team is essential for this role. You will work closely with the pastoral and wellbeing teams.
A willingness to contribute to the School's wide range of co-curricular activities is expected. Small teaching groups throughout the School are supported by the very latest technology and modern facilities including an extensive use of 1:1 digital learning.
King Edward's has its own generous salary scale as well as contributing a highly competitive 22.5% employer contribution to the APTIS Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and a reduction in school fees.
