It is a vibrant and friendly school that strives to deliver the challenging and inspirational curriculum our students need to prepare them for the ever-changing world of work. We have high expectations for all, and our aim is simple: to be the best school in Northamptonshire and beyond for every student, no matter what their ability or aspirations. This is an exciting time for the school as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding under the leadership of a new Headteacher. We are really proud of our 2024 exam results, with an estimate progress 8 score of 0.41 for Key Stage 4. General Roles and Responsibilities: The Head of Department is a key figure in the life of the school, whose core purpose is to raise standards in their department. They play a central role in helping to implement agreed aims and objectives for the school as a whole and, through their leadership of colleagues and students, for their department in particular. If we need agency assistance, then we will reach out to our trusted partners. Any speculative CVs we receive will not be accepted as an introduction. EMAT reserves the right to withdraw this advert early if a suitable candidate is found. EMAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
