An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate PE Teacher to take on the role of Head of PE as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in Telford. The successful candidate will join a supportive leadership team and play a crucial role in fostering a culture of excellence. The Role
- Lead and develop the PE department, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across KS3 to KS5.
- Oversee curriculum planning, integrating a balance of traditional and modern approaches to physical education.
- Inspire and support a team of teachers, promoting high-quality teaching and coaching.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to enhance whole-school initiatives and student engagement.
- Promote extracurricular sports and fitness programs, encouraging broad participation.
- Monitor student progress, implementing strategies to drive achievement and enthusiasm for PE.
A degree in Physical Education or a related field, along with PGCE/QTS. - Experience teaching PE at KS3 to KS5, with a record of success in student engagement and attainment.
- Leadership experience or the potential to lead and manage a department effectively.
