Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Risk and Compliance function at AXA UK. As Head of Risk Reporting, you'll lead the preparation, co-ordination, and enhancement of risk reporting. This includes managing the quarterly reporting process and managing a number of key 2nd line reports including the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), Emerging Risks and Strategic Plan review. You'll lead the day-to-day running of the Risk Reporting team to ensure the right direction, activities and pace are provided in line with the Risk and Compliance strategic ambition and priorities. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at one of our office locations. What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly risk reporting processes. Activities include drafting of agendas, reviewing papers, preparing the risk report and engaging stakeholders.
  • Ensure outputs across Risk and Compliance Teams are completed on time. Drafting, proofing and editing reports before submission as required.
  • Manage relationships with the Company Secretariat team, Business Managers community and other stakeholders to coordinate agendas for committees.
  • Oversight of Business Risk within the UK Risk Taxonomy. Supporting the development and monitoring KRIs.
  • Guide and influence 1st Line Risk Teams and other stakeholders to ensure reporting is joined-up across AXA UK, providing a consistent means of reporting on risk and the ability to aggregate easily to a UK level.
  • Manage people within the Risk Reporting team, including recruitment, appraisals, learning and development and managing day-to-day performance.
  • Support the UK and Ireland CRO in setting the budgets for the Risk and Compliance function and ensuring that the constituent parts of the function stay within their budgets, working closely with Finance.
  • Work closely with the Risk SLT and their teams to ensure an appropriate flow of information, consistency and development of risk reporting.   • High level of managerial and leadership skills.
  • Experience in a Risk function within Financial Services.
  • Exposure of managing and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand, assimilate, analyse and act on complex business issues.

  • Relevant business or professional qualification, such as accountancy, desirable.
