Full Job Description

Your Team : The Strategic Development team is responsible for growing and diversifying both commercial and customer revenue streams through evolving and enhancing our products and processes, always leading with data and insight. This team acts as a centralised resource responsible for assimilating, and responding, to the needs of our customer and internal teams. The team delivers strategic support across the business by offering depth of expertise in areas of strategic focus and delivering innovative new revenue streams. This role will report directly into the Strategic Development Director and will be vital in delivering growth across The Sun.,

  • Drive and lead new opportunities for The Sun, growing customer and commercial revenue through strategic partnerships
  • Conduct research to identify new market opportunities and translatethem into well-defined and executed strategies
  • Programme management of strategic initiatives across the commercial and customer functions, ensuring that each of the various teams are working effectively together and delivering their strategic objectives
  • Discover and cultivate partnership opportunities and manage existing partnerships to drive growth for The Sun
  • Manage multiple prospects, bids and proposals, building a pipeline of opportunities
  • Manage the RFP process for new potential partners and negotiate and agree contracts ensuring all agreements are financially profitable and data compliant.
  • Lead opportunity modelling for new target markets for The Sun to grow commercial and customer revenue streams.

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborations.
  • Proven experience in programme management, ensuring that multiple teams work cohesively to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, translating them into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills to manage the RFP process and secure financially profitable and compliant contracts.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with a track record of driving growth and diversification in commercial and customer revenue streams.
