Full Job Description
The successful candidate will support the nurse in charge of the ward in delivering patient centred care and ensuring the safety of all young people. As a Healthcare Assistant you would be following direction from the Nurse in Charge to ensure care is delivered in line with the Mental Health Act and taking into account individual needs. You will support in the de-escalation of challenging situations and learning communication techniques to support each young person. You will be required to work shifts over a 24 hour period including long days, nights and bank holidays.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of mental health and/or learning disabilities, preferably possess a NVQ in Care and completed the care certificate.
