Full Job Description

We are looking for a full-time staff member to join and support the Rapid Access Neurovascular Clinic for a 12 month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for the right applicant to expand their clinical skills, working to cover clinics on a 7 day basis and across Poole and Bournemouth Hospitals. The role will be primarily based in Poole Hospital but there will be the expectation that some shifts may be in Bournemouth. The plan will be for the clinic to move to Bournemouth full-time in the near future., We use a new referral system. The successful applicant will be key in delivery of the new referral process and contribute to the success of this. The clinics are varied and can be busy. The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, reliable, with good time-keeping skills and able to use their initiative to ensure the smooth running of the service. The role includes working closely with consultants and senior nurses, data collection and the use of computers. This role includes developing and using clinical skills such as performing ECGs and taking blood. Full training will be provided.

This post is being advertised as a Band 3, however applicants that do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.
