Full Job Description

A new and unique opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinician to join the London Health and Justice Learning Hub (HJLH) in a Support role, one day per week Secondment until the end of September 2026 This role will be part of the core team in the Health & Justice Learning Hub pilot. The HJLH is responsible for co-ordinating, enhancing and developing innovative approaches to learning across the London Prisons and criminal justice system pathways. The HJLH's focus is on serious safety incidents, with a particular focus on deaths in custody (including harm to self and suicide), with the aim of learning from and improving the response to these. We are keen to work with someone who can draw on HJLH experience of the prison environment (in which these incidents happen) to support the HJLH team to better reach staff on the ground in prisons and to draw on their own experiences to improve all our learning responses. This will involve connecting with staff working across providers and agencies in and around the London prisons and wider Criminal Justice System to help incorporate all perspectives and best target learning responses. The role will be based in the Gordon Hospital in London, but will also work across London Prison sites and other parts of the criminal justice system.Main duties of the job The postholder will: Work as part of the core team to provide high quality educational opportunities, delivering a range of presentations, courses and workshops for staff Participate in the development, evaluation and promotion of the HJLH Link into existing forums in, and organisations working alongside, London Prisons and other parts of the Criminal Justice Pathway to understand the perspectives, priorities and experiences needed to shape the HJLH's approach. Support engagement of clinical staff on the ground across providers in all key deliverables of the HJLH
