Health and Safety Advisor - 106131

Health and Safety Advisor required by leading Gloucestershire employer for their Gloucester site. The successful Health and Safety Advisor will create and implement policies and procedures and will ensure compliance with health and safety standards across the business., Main Duties: Health and Safety Advisor

• Conduct risk assessments and identify ways to reduce hazards.
• Develop and implement safe operational procedures.
• Lead root cause investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure policies and procedures are effectively followed.
• Develop and implement health and safety strategies and internal policies.
• Deliver training sessions to managers and employees on safety issues.
• Maintain records, produce reports, and analyse safety statistics.
• Stay up to date with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Provide advice on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and machinery safeguarding.
  
  A background within a similar role, ideally gained within a manufacturing or engineering or equivalent environment.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent H&S qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Excellent communication skills, able to relate to people at all levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
