Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding Health and Social Care provision on a variety of courses within health and social care in industry standard facilities. The college has excellent relationships with the local NHS and other providers. Health is a growth area with the introduction of T-Levels and the new Higher Technical Qualification. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified health and social care lecturer. You will be working in industry standard facilities with a team that has an excellent relationship with the NHS. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a nursing background and an experience of teaching T Levels.,

  • Engage and inspire Health and Social Care learners across levels 1-5, delivering dynamic modules that align with agreed success targets, fostering both academic and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with a vibrant teaching team and NHS partners to design and innovate new courses that meet sector demands, including cutting-edge T Levels and BTEC offerings, ensuring relevance and forward-thinking content.
  • Monitor and support learner progress with a keen eye, regularly reviewing attendance and achievement, and implementing timely follow-ups to ensure each learner exceeds their targets and potential.
  • Craft and deliver tailored assignment and assessment materials, thoughtfully designed to suit the unique needs and goals of each programme, enhancing learner experience and success.
  • Assess and evaluate learner work (formative and summative) against curriculum criteria, providing insightful, constructive feedback that motivates learners to reach their fullest potential.

    Teaching qualification, e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLs, or a firm commitment to achieve a Diploma in Education and Training (DET). (Must be willing to work towards)
  • Degree or equivalent in a Health and Social Care related area.
  • Skills and Expertise
  • Successful experience of teaching or training within health and social care.
  • Experience of T Level delivery.
  • Relevant vocational experience in the health and social care sector
