Full Job Description

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
  • Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
  • Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
  • Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care on the wings and healthcare centres

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy

  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

    We have a exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP New Hall. HMP New Hall is a Closed Category prison for female adults, juveniles and young offenders located in Flockton, West Yorkshire. The site consists of departments offering healthcare support across primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, psychology & psychiatry, opticians, podiatry, physiotherapy, dental services and a management and admin function. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care., The Health in Justice team at Practice Plus Group makes a real difference across over 53 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres.     Hours: This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, usually 3 long shifts., This position is full time an youll receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum depending on experience.
