HGV Class 2 Driver / Drayman

Pay Rate: £37,437.81 Grade: CA Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday 0400-0600 Location: Totton - SO40 3NB DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGV Class 2 Dray Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Working a Monday to Friday 0400-0600 start working alongside a drivers mate from our Southampton Tradeteam Depot.
• Very heavy lifting (approx. 40 -120 Kgs) , delivering beers/kegs/alcohol to the licenced premises across the region.
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
• You will hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card .
• You must have at least 6 months of actual HGV Class 2 driving experience to be considered for this role
• Be a team player and customer service focused as working with a drivers assistant on daily basis.
• Be physically fit as very heavy lifting involved .
