We're recruiting … HGV Technician

We are currently looking to recruit for HGV Technicians to join our Transport Department at our Amesbury Depot within our Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution business.

The purpose of this role is to Repair and Maintain Our HGV Fleet to comply with legal & Company standards while having the ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems. The candidate will work as part of a close team on site at our Amesbury Depot.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent (47.5 hour per week)

Salary: £19.29 per hour

Additional hours are paid at overtime rate and Saturdays are paid at 1.125 hourly rate & Sunday/Bank Holidays paid at 1.5 Basic Hourly Rate.

Shift Pattern: 5/7 Shifts a week (47.5 hours per week) - (Day Shift)

Location: Amesbury - SP4 7SZ

Responsibilities

• To Inspect and maintain Our HGV Fleet to comply with legal & Company standards.


• Prepare vehicles for MOT Testing and transport to Test Centre.


• To record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work carried out on each vehicle.


• Repair Minor Accident Damage.


• Carry out Fault Diagnosis.

Requirements

• HGV Licence C+E preferable but not essential


• Commercial experience on HGV's is essential.


• Qualifications required City & Guilds part 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
