Full Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen to join an established commercial fleet servicing business in Warboys, Cambridgeshire (near Huntingdon), working as a HGV Trailer Fitter Technician within a friendly and supportive small team.

This is a permanent full-time role.

As a company we have grown year on year, for the past 6 years.

Plus, no shift work.

Our normal operational trading hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday morning work in line with the needs of the business.

About the job -

You will be joining a small friendly team within a commercial workshop environment - which has recently undergone expansion with a new workshop bay/pit installation.

Your role will include -

As a HGV Trailer Fitter Technician you will be working alongside other experienced technicians on customer's vehicles in the area of maintenance and repair.

The job will involve the repair and service of vehicles to very high standards.

- Carrying out maintenance and repair of HGV vehicles and trailers.

- MOT preparation and full vehicle servicing

- Undertaking roadworthiness inspections of vehicles in operational use

- Other services including tyres, brakes, diagnosis, welding

- Scheduling of repairs and ordering / receiving of parts

The ability to work as part of a team

- Good customer service and communication skills

- An awareness of health and safety regulations

- Good manual and practical skills

- Technically and practically minded

- Logical thinker

You'll also be hard working, flexible, have good attention to detail and adaptable.

Relevant qualifications and certifications are preferred, but not essential. Applicable experience, skills and attitude will also be taken into account.
