Full Job Description
We are seeking a candidate with energy and enthusiasm, who has extensive experience in sleep physiology, preferably in paediatrics, to further develop the services. In return, you will be supported by a dedicated and friendly team. You must be highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively. Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a flexible approach to work. The ideal candidate will possess excellent assessment, observational, and management skills, as well as in-depth technical expertise to set up sleep studies, accurately score them, and provide initial reports., 1. Responsibility for the accurate data recording of diagnostic tests on relevant systems to enable reimbursement.
2. With support of service management team, ensure that processes are in place for recording, audit and monitoring.
3. Assisting to ensure that the paediatric lung function services adhere to the diagnostic target, working with the administration and clerical team to make sure that all attendances are logged and coded as required.
1. The Paediatric Respiratory Physiologist will collaborate with the Paediatric Sleep Physiologist to ensure cross-coverage between the lung function and sleep departments during each other's leave periods.
2. Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of clinical and administrative staff for the paediatric respiratory physiology service.
3. Liaising with the Lead Paediatric Respiratory Consultant, child health service managers and lead respiratory physiologist regarding all matters of operational and estates management, procurement, maintenance, service development and policy/strategic goals.

King's College Hospital is looking for a Band 7 WTE Paediatric Respiratory Physiologist to join the paediatric respiratory medicine and sleep services team. The successful candidate will manage and deliver lung physiology testing within the Variety Children's Hospital.
The post holder will lead the paediatric lung function lab and manage the delivery of a range of routine, specialised and advanced physiological respiratory function tests. They will support junior colleagues in performing and analysing investigations and become an integrated member of the paediatric respiratory team.
The Paediatric Respiratory Centre at the Variety Children's Hospital, King's College Hospital, offers secondary and tertiary referral services for children with complex lung disease and cystic fibrosis, primarily serving Southeast London, Kent, and Sussex. The Centre delivers comprehensive paediatric respiratory care, from full diagnostic services and chronic condition management to acute inpatient care and hospital-wide consultations.
