Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with some general experience in acute work to join our team and contribute to the service provided to our colorectal surgical patients. This is an exciting time to join the team as Oldham Hospital has recently opened a £28 million facility to treat emergency general and colorectal surgery. You will be working alongside the advanced clinical lead dietitian and will be responsible for managing an inpatient caseload of patients with requiring Enteral, Parenteral and Oral Nutritional support. You will also undertake an ad hoc outpatient clinic. Experience in parenteral nutrition is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.,

  • Provision of the dietetic service to surgical wards.
  • Undertake a post op outpatient clinic either virtually or face to face .
  • Attendance at MDT meetings as required
  • Contribute to the delivery of the ERAS programme during surgery school
  • Contributing to the service provided to patients receiving parenteral nutrition across the hospital on all wards.
  • Participating in regular education of medical and nursing staffContribute to audit and policy development.Training of student dietitians on placements 1, 2 and 3
