Full Job Description

You will provide first class HR support and guidance to our Headteachers and senior management across the Trust. You will work with your central team colleagues, in order to work with your school stakeholders so as to ensure consistency across the Trust in all people related matters. You will be the trusted partner for our schools and first point of contact for all ER matters.

  • Proven experience as an HR BP or similar management role, with a strong focus on employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, conflict management, and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues with discretion, professionalism and compassion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing employee concerns.
  • CIPD qualification minimum level 5 (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Are you an experienced HR professional, looking for your next challenge to help us realise our ambition to provide a great education for every child.
  • Do you want to work somewhere where you can make a difference to young people's lives by working with teaching staff and school leaders to ensure they are equipped to develop and manage people effectively? You will be joining us at an exciting time as we work towards forming our new trust through the merger of CSET (Castle School Education Trust) and TPLT (The Priory Learning Trust) to Pathway Trust. We are creating a new organisation with a new identity that draws on the shared values, aspirations and complementary strengths of the two existing trusts. Our trust will have 12,000 pupils in our 20 primary and secondary schools across South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Somerset. You will have a base at one of our schools (currently Mangotsfield Secondary but with a move to Marlwood School imminent) and will need to be able to travel to all of our sites but all of our schools are easily commutable from Bristol, Bath, Gloucester and South Wales.
