Full Job Description

Duration: 3-6 month FTC
Reports to: Head of HR
Works with: HR Managers (HRBPs), Functional areas of business (e.g. Operations)
Why?
During a period of change and transformation (including the transition to shared Services), we require an experienced Business Partner to work across the organisation as needs arise (due to BP absences).
The Role
To drive business results and increase colleague engagement. This will be achieved by partnering with business leaders and colleagues across the organisation to support the organisational people strategy/business plan. Working closely with assigned business areas, you will support the implementation of HR strategy in alignment with the business goals and objectives.
In partnership with the business you will develop and implement strategic and operational plans based on insight, data and an understanding of what is possible from the external environment impacting all stages of the employee life cycle.
Responsible for:

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders to achieve high levels of trust, respect and professionalism

Advising and coaching managers on how the people agenda is utilised to deliver success

Driving a culture of high performance where talent is recognised, stretched and poor performance managed (ideally to achieve higher levels of performance)

Collaborating with HR team colleagues to support a one team approach and challenge so that we may continuously improve to deliver the People Strategy and business strategy

Providing guidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning.

Bringing people expertise and develop solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy.

Influence and build relationships with people around the business.

Question and challenge others to get to the root of people and business issues.

Challenge team cultures and behaviours to ensure that they are consistent with organisational culture at all times

Support all managers (and colleagues) on HR policies and practices that ensure fairness and expediency ensuring that those policies and practices are up to date and best practice

Support managers in the effective staffing of their teams ensuring inclusivity in how we recruit, how we develop and who we promote

Use evidence and data to identify people priorities for the business and address future workforce needs.

Key Deliverables

Provision of business as usual coverage

Advancement of key HR Strategy projects and programmes (levelling, performance, reward) Support the transition to HR Shared Services

Relationship building stakeholder management

Results orientation and excellent levels of customer service

Strong interpersonal skills and high levels of oral and written communication

High levels of flexibility and ability to work through ambiguity

Able to take the initiative and work autonomously.

Taking considered decisions at a level appropriate to the role and having the judgement to escalate those outside of their remit.

Commercial and cultural awareness, with sensitivity to the social, economic and political environment.

Ideal candidate

CIPD Qualified to at least Level 5 or an equivalent qualification

Full employee lifecycle experience from a BP perspective; this includes performance management processes, talent management processes, culture and engagement, learning and development

Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and some experience of International HRM/Employment law. We would be particularly excited to meet candidates with US/ APAC /LATAM experience (or any one of these!)

Develops their external network to be up to date in terms of practice

Up to date knowledge of good practice and emerging trends in the field of HR

Experience of supporting the implementation of change initiatives, ideally within a rapidly growing or evolving business setting

Experience of working within the payments industry or Fintech an advantage
