Job Purpose: Reporting to the EMCOR Account Director for Haleon you will be the main point of contact and subject matter expert for all matters relating to Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment. Ensuring the safety and compliance for EMCOR and matters that could impact on our customers organisation or reputation is critical. Working with the account team across several sites across the UK and Ireland you will be part of a wider operational team whom you will support, guide and direct. This will also ensure the oversight of partners and subcontractors to EMCOR. You will develop and be responsible for the HSQE strategy for the contract whilst working collaboratively with the wider team in its implementation and execution. You may at times be required to collaborate with the customers team and HSQE functions. Duties:

  • Ensure the Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental legal compliance of the account at all times whilst maintaining the processes, policies and procedures of EMCOR and Haleon.
  • Develop, implement and take responsibility of a robust strategy for the account that satisfies the contractual, legal and procedural requirements of the account, EMCOR and Haleon.
  • Implement and lead the ESG and Social Value agenda for each year aligned to any activities of Haleon.
  • Lead and develop engagement across the contract with operational leads to promote HSQE.
  • Maintain a skill level across the account for operational leads of IOSH Leading Safely or Managing Safely respectively.
  • Ensure that the contract is audit ready (internal & external) at all times.
  • Undertake a routine suite of internal audits across the account and the relevant sites for EMCOR, their partners and subcontractors to benchmark HSQE compliance and culture.
  • Promote best practice and a positive safety culture through training and development of Risk Management, Root Cause Analysis and active skills to prevent and learn from accidents and incidents.
  • Ensure compliance and environmental assurance in all areas of Waste Management across the account.
  • Introduce proactive behaviours of "don't walk by" to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate and engage with the wider EMCOR HSQE community to identify shared learning and best practice for the Haleon account.
  • Responsibilities: The role will be a single entity however with the responsibility of working in a matrix style arrangement with the wider account team exhibiting a robust approach to influence, advising and directing accordingly.

  • As a minimum, NEBOSH Diploma in HSQE
  • Knowledge or experience within Facilities Management relating to Pharmaceutical/Consumer Health or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • A drive, collaborative, solution-oriented mindset, experienced in problem solving and establishing SSOW, processes and procedures from scratch.
  • Other Factors: There will be a requirement to apportion time accordingly to the various sites across the South of England and occasional travel to Ireland when required.
