Talocher School are looking to recruit an outstanding Humanities Teacher to join our Teaching team! The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs. Talocher School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who has the skills, knowledge, experience and ambition, to develop and lead our Humanities AOLE. Our benefits include:

- paid for enhanced DBS, wellbeing support Talocher School is a specialist school for girls and boys aged 7 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs some also have an ASC diagnosis. We currently have registration for 60 students. The school provides a warm, welcoming and flexible environment for young people who are unable to attend mainstream education because of their additional learning needs. The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within Additional Learning Needs (ALN), along with the following characteristics: Resilience - We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged. Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff. Organisation - You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil. Caring - Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you. Attentive - No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel incredibly rewarded by helping those who need it most.
