| Salary £35,235 - £39,513 Per Annum | Permanent, Full Time 37 Hours Per Week | Preston (with travel Countywide) | International Sponsorship - this role is not open to international sponsorship IAS Officer Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Join our dedicated team at the Information Advice and Support Services (IASS) and play a crucial role in empowering families and young people across Lancashire. As an IAS Officer, you will provide bespoke, impartial information, advice, and support, helping individuals navigate the complexities of education, health, and social care. As a trusted advisor for families and young people navigating the complexities of SEND your expertise and support will enable them to make informed decisions about their future, ensuring they receive the best possible care and education.,
- Empower and Inform: Provide accurate, impartial information, advice, and support to children, young people, parents, and carers.
- Build Relationships: Utilize your excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Diffuse Conflicts: Support complex processes, such as tribunals, and diffuse conflict situations with your technical expertise.
- Manage Caseloads: Autonomously manage a complex caseload, providing support through phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
- Champion Rights: Help families understand their rights under the Children and Families Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
- Collaborate: Work in partnership with parents, local authorities, ICBs, and other relevant partners, challenging practice where necessary.
- Support and Guide: Provide support and guidance to IAS Support Officers, particularly regarding complex casework. What We Offer:
