Full Job Description

As a IEP and Ops assistant the post holder will work as part of a highly motivated team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the Breast Imaging Service, who shall be responsible to the Service Manager for the overall performance of the Symptomatic Breast Imaging service. In particular the post holder will provide administrative, scheduling and secretarial services Main duties of the job To act as an IEP Administrator for the team ensuring effective and efficient support to the Imaging Services, including the provision of operational support as directed by the Breast operations team. Delivering IEP support to BLT for all incoming and outgoing requests, supporting other sites within the group only as directed.

We are looking for a motivated IEP and Ops Assistant to join the Breast Imaging Team at Barts Health. This is an administrative role requiring in-depth knowledge of administrative practices within NHS service., GCSE / A Level or equivalent standard of Education,

  • Experience with coding
  • Relevant experience of working within an office or NHS environment, Significant administrative experience including maintaining office and patient record systems
  • Previous NHS experience of working as a technical support officer or similar role
  • Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act and able to maintain confidentiality and trust with an awareness of information governance requirements
  • Knowledge of CRS / RISe / PACs
  • Ability to work unsupervised, prioritising own workload
  • Evidence of being able to work within set timeframes and managing changing priorities / deadlines to meet challenging targets
  • Able to work in a busy clinical environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Courteous and efficient approach at all times
  • Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge and use of Trust IT systems as well as IEP knowledge
  • Experience in interacting with patients and dealing with sensitive / confidential information, Ability to demonstrate a confident approach which inspires confidence with the team
  • Forward thinking and patient focused
  • Methodical and logical approach to work prioritisation and planning
  • Ability to adjust to any changes in the policies and processes
  • Have a friendly, positive and professional disposition to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multidisciplinary setting, Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the Trust and NHS community
