Ysgol Bro Taf

Are you seeking a new opportunity to join a talented, ambitious and supportive team? Take a look at the fantastic opening we have within our brand new 3 - 16 school.

Thank you for expressing an interest in the Inclusion Room Lead post at Ysgol Bro Taf; the new 3 - 16 school based in Pontypridd. The school opened in September 2024 with an £18.5 million investment in the creation of 21st Century learning facilities that reflect our commitment to excellence. The impressive facilities give some insight into the quality of provision that we seek for our school and local community.

I feel privileged to lead Ysgol Bro Taf and look forward to working with staff who are as inspired and excited as I am by the possibilities that an all-through school brings. Together we are creating a new school, new curriculum and a new approach to learning that's ambitious, fully inclusive and will secure the very best for our pupils.

At Ysgol Bro Taf, we discover brilliance in every child. We immerse our pupils in a wide range of opportunities and experiences across different learning contexts inside and outside the classroom. This approach is central to life at the school. We also strive to create a happy, safe and secure environment, where children and adults work together to create a culture of support and trust.

Our excellent practitioners and leaders feel supported to innovate and challenge the 'norm' - pushing the boundaries and not being afraid of doing things differently. Our staff have a genuine passion for the work that they do; self-motivated, self-disciplined, and driven to succeed and be the best they can be. In return, Ysgol Bro Taf is an exciting place to work - a place where everyone's achievements are celebrated, and everyone feels valued for the key contribution they are making to our collective success.

We aim to create a culture in which openness and an active willingness to share and promote the very best practice are key factors in the drive for improvement in our school. We are proactive in reaching out to the education community in order to learn from them and share our own expertise. We also invest heavily in our most valued resource, our staff, and ensure everyone benefits from a rich and purposeful programme of professional learning to help realise our ambitious vision.
