Lincolnshire has an excellent opportunity in Children's Services and is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Inclusion Team Manager to join our busy and dedicated Inclusion Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a new team of Quality and Effectiveness Leads, working in partnership with mainstream schools to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of early intervention and the graduated approach, to enable mainstream provision to effectively meet the additional needs of children and young people. The postholder will also be responsible for leading the delivery of Lincolnshire's mainstream Hub provision within host mainstream schools.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with schools and partners agencies across the area to deliver the Local Authority's strategies in relation to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Inclusion., Lincolnshire has an excellent opportunity in Children's Services for an experienced Inclusion Team Manager to be part of a new and exciting team within the Inclusion Service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team of Quality and Effectiveness Leads within the Inclusion Service with a county-wide remit. Overseeing and monitoring the delivery of mainstream provision to effectively meet the additional needs of children and young people, the postholder will have responsibility for working in partnership with mainstream schools to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of early intervention and the graduated approach. The postholder will also be responsible for leading, managing and monitoring the delivery of Lincolnshire's mainstream Hub provision within host mainstream schools.
The postholder will have responsibility for the overall direction, delivery, management of risk and performance of the services ensuring all statutory and performance requirements are met. The successful candidate will also be required to lead on specific areas of development and improvement within the Inclusion arena working closely with the Head of Service, schools, Social Care, the Integrated Care Board, Lincolnshire Parent Carer Forum and children and young people.
The position will be working across the whole of Lincolnshire and therefore the ability to drive is essential.
We are looking for someone who is a skilled communicator with good time management and an ability to respond to tight deadlines and high demand in a busy service area, alongside an understanding of national legislation and an awareness of local policies and procedures., A Children's Service qualification at graduate/post graduate level such as a teaching qualification/social care qualification/health qualification.
Extensive post-qualification experience in a school, Alternative Provision, MAT or Local Authority within the areas of Inclusion and/or SEND.
Experience of influencing leadership thinking, policy and practice to drive improvements in relation to inclusion.
Experience of leading, co-ordinating and implementing a range of policy developments and initiatives at a senior level.
An extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory duties and Local Authority procedures relating to SEND and inclusion.
Excellent presentations skills.
Effective Budget and Financial planning skills., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post., Disability Confident
