We provide care and support for vulnerable adults within Thurrock and are looking for an exceptional Care Worker to join our Friendship at Home Sitting Service. The Service provides care and respite support for main Carers allowing them to attend appointments and go shopping etc… knowing their loved ones who need care are being well looked after. This role may require you to support with personal care, toileting and food and fluid preparation along with social inclusion.
Working days for this role will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. At this time we cannot change this work pattern so please ensure you can commit to the three days stated before applying.
The Council supports the Covid-19 vaccination programme and encourages staff delivering front-line care services to take up the offer of double vaccination. For the successful candidate medical pre screening will be undertaken during the onboarding process.
The successful candidate will need to have a professional attitude at all times and have knowledge around the understanding of Dementia, Challenging behaviours and Moving and Handling. However, training will be provided.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check at Enhanced Level with Adults Barred List is required for this post.

Salary: £25,731 - £27,870 per annum pro rata
