Stockton Council have an established team of Independent Reviewing Officers and Child Protection Conference Chairs however we are expanding the team to develop our ambitions for the service. We are looking to recruit an additional IRO/Conference Chair to join our team. Are you passionate about improving the quality-of-care planning for the children and young people we support across Stockton-on-Tees? If so, we are looking for motivated and experienced Social Workers or Social Work Managers who are committed to providing an excellent service to vulnerable children and young people and their families. Our Children's Services are focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. We are dedicated to creating an environment where social work practice can thrive and where all members of the team are encouraged to be innovative and creative to ensure the services we offer to children and families help improve their lives. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate IRO/Conference Chair/sufficiently experienced Social Worker with aspirations and transferable skills for this role to join our team and contribute towards making a meaningful difference to the lives of children and families. Our IROs have the dual role of IRO for Children in Our Care and as the chair of Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences. As an IRO/Conference Chair you will play a crucial role in overseeing the care planning and review process for children in our care and those who are being considered at child protection conference. You will ensure that plans for children are robust, child centred, legally compliant, and that they effectively address the individual needs and aspirations of each child. We'll support you to flourish and be the best you can, delivering high-quality services and working closely with professionals from a range of agencies to improve the lived experience of children.
