The Department has over 150 Academic Staff, over 250 Research Staff and approximately 200 members of assistant staff. The Teaching Office at the Central Cambridge site administers all aspects of undergraduate teaching and deals with over a thousand students. The Teaching Office is responsible for the integration of teaching functions across the department's six divisions (each of which is the size of a small to medium department elsewhere in the University), and also those of other faculties with which the department shares courses.
