Inspector / Assessor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced candidate to carry out technical inspections, assessments and surveys of the council's housing stock.

You will play a key technical role, undertaking property inspections for repairs covering all building trades in both tenanted and void properties and specify the requirement for any remedial work.

Previous experience in surveying and producing specifications for disrepair claims is essential, as well as experience in diagnosing damp, mould and condensation related works, along with general repairs assessments.

The post holder will also prepare and evaluate tenders and place orders with sub-contractors for specialised work, including categorising work by trades, schedule of rates and priority guidelines.
