Full Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an Internal Communications & Engagement Specialist to join our fast-paced and friendly Internal Communications team for a 12-month fixed term contract. Working as an essential member of the team and the wider HR department, the successful candidate will support the Internal Communication and Engagement Manager on a variety of project related tasks. With a focus on Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), this is a brilliant opportunity to get involved with employee engagement, benefits campaigns as well as organising company annual events. This is a varied role, where no two days will be the same! You'll look to co-ordinate and manage Internal Communications schedules and work closely with stakeholders of all levels and seniority. In addition, you'll play a proactive role in supporting the creation and delivery of the CSR strategy by leading monthly forum meetings, managing the charitable donation process, running various internal fundraising and volunteering campaigns and supporting the employee wellbeing programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a progressive, talented and friendly HR team, who are focused on supporting the business in achieving operational and strategic objectives during a period of exciting business change.

We are really keen to hear from candidates with proven experience working in an Internal Communications or CSR role. It is essential that you possess excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills. You will also need to be able to demonstrate resilience, with the ability to juggle differing priorities under pressure and demonstrate a high level of flexibility and attention to detail. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience working within an Internal Communications role
  • Experience of leading employee engagement, CSR and internal communications campaigns
  • Organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise when under pressure and balance competing workloads effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to quality check own work and the work of others where necessary to ensure we get it right first time
  • A high level of personal integrity and experience in managing sensitive information whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • IT confidence, with experience of working in SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience of managing interactions with senior stakeholders
  • Strong customer service skills, and experience dealing with internal or external customers
