Their IT team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth business operations, and this apprenticeship is the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in an environment where technology meets innovation. A Typical Day in the Job:
- Providing 1st Line Support to resolve IT issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth business operations.
- Assisting internal staff with IT support requests and ensuring issues are handled professionally and promptly.
- Taking ownership of support requests, following them through to resolution while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Logging all reported issues in the companys bespoke Helpdesk Management System to keep users updated on progress.
- Collaborating with senior technical staff to resolve urgent issues efficiently.
- Learning about the companys network, systems, and procedures to provide effective support to all teams.
- Working with the Helpdesk team to improve processes, escalate tasks, and adhere to SLAs.
- Conducting software and hardware updates, including configuring new starter setups, mail profiles, access rights, and upgrading components, routers, and switches.
- Assisting in the deployment and management of cloud-based solutions, gaining hands-on experience with cloud technologies.
- Supporting remote offices globally, including in the UK and the US, using tools like TeamViewer and Microsoft Teams.
- Contributing to creating and improving IT support procedures. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships., This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. Youll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting software, optimising performance, and setting up virtual environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, email, and networking.
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to work under pressure and approach problems methodically.
- Experience with wireless troubleshooting, Apple devices/iOS, or Android devices is a plus but not essential.
- Ideally, a full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle to travel between North East locations.
- A Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and a Grade 5/C in GCSE English is required for this role., You must have the right to work in the UK and valid residency status to apply for this apprenticeship.
£15,579 to £21,673 per annum. - Monday to Friday, 9am 5pm.
- 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
