Full Job Description

An opportunity has become available for a Cloud Administrator to join our Cloud Computing, Strategy and Innovation (CCSI) team in London, UK. In this important role, you will support both internal and client-facing cloud-based platforms and systems. This position is a key member of the CCSI Team within the Technology group and is responsible for day-to-day operational and technical support in the areas of cloud systems and network engineering across all systems and platforms., The CCSI Systems Senior Engineer is a full-time position located in London, UK reporting to the Director of Cloud and SaaS Operations. Paid relocation is not available.

  • Assist in the design and operations of AlixPartners' Cloud Platforms - including Azure and AWS.
  • Participate in defining and implementing the overall structure and standards for systems documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day systems, server, and network engineering support functions for various systems and platforms, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows servers, Entra ID, various distributions of Linux infrastructure, Cloud PaaS Services and 3rd party application platforms. Participate with cross-discipline teams as necessary.
  • Analyse, report, and advise on various systems and applications performance issues.
  • Research and implementation of new Azure tools to improve efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Limit downtime on all environments
  • Participate in the creation (or modification) of documentation activities related to system configuration, policies, and procedures.
  • Continue to mature our Azure DevOps platform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Assist with deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of Ai and Generative AI solutions utilizing primarily the Azure platform.
  • Acquire knowledge, via both formal and on-the-job training of the various 3rd party packaged software applications and custom solutions used to provide systems monitoring, management, and reporting within the Digital service offering.

    BSc or BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in Microsoft's Azure Platform with both their PaaS and IaaS offerings.
  • Experience working with Azure in a "DevOps" role - utilizing Git version control processes and automating/scripting environment deployments from Azure DevOps Relevant certificates in Azure, DevOps, etc. highly preferred.
  • Experience with automation/orchestration of Azure technologies. Examples: PowerShell/ARM Template scripting, Azure Automation, Bicep, JSON, and Terraform, etc.
  • Experience working in a DevOps/Agile team setting.
  • Experience with Large Language Model administration and deployments. working in and/or implementing "compliance" environments such as SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, etc.
  • Exposure to Amazon's AWS / EC2 infrastructure (or similar provider) desired.
  • Progressive experience in supporting information systems implementation, support, and monitoring, preferably within a predominantly Microsoft environment.
  • Experience in large, production-oriented service operations, with experience in a 24x7x365 service delivery model supporting critical business operations with large data volumes.
  • Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills along with written and oral communication skills in English, and effective skills to support security programs. Must be able to provide formal reports and presentations as required
  • Must possess an attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks so work is completed in an accurate, timely manner
