Full Job Description

Reporting into the IT Cloud Team Leader, the main responsibility of this role is to provide subject matter expertise on a range of infrastructure technologies in relation to IT requests, issues and incidents, as well as to monitor and maintain the companies infrastructure and provide 3^rd line technical expertise on IT projects.,

  • Implement new applications and systems as well as improving and maintaining existing systems
  • Manage monitoring and optimisation of system performance
  • Review capacity requirements and manage capacity
  • Document and maintain configuration for the design, configuration, routines, processes and tools
  • Identify areas for improvement. Recommend solutions based on the technical analysis of business requirements and follow defined best practise guidelines and frameworks E.g. ITIL
  • Ensure that IT continuity plans, technology and tools safeguard data integrity, security and access
  • Plan and prioritise work to ensure that deadlines and targets are met
  • Liaise with both technical and non-technical professionals to resolve issues
  • Documentation of all new systems and changes to existing systems
  • Ensure compliance with DAC Beachcroft's information security policies, standards and procedures in the day-to-day delivery of IT services
  • Support information security risk assessments within IT Service Delivery by making resources available where appropriate
  • Proactively identify and report security risks to the Information Security team
  • Act as an escalation point for difficult or complex incidents
  • Ensure that incidents are dealt with according to customer and priority needs
  • Understand the business and its objectives
  • Co-ordinate with teams within IT to ensure that service outages are correctly communicated to the business or affected users
  • Work with the problem management team or other virtual teams as required
  • When required represent Infrastructure at team, department and supplier meetings
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills and keep up-to-date with new processes, procedures and developments
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills
  • Handle confidential information in line with the firms data security protocols
  • Is also willing to take ownership on any other tasks and responsibilities required until complete
  • Additional Specific Specialist Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert for all aspects of Microsoft InTune Laptop operating system and application deployment.
  • Expert for all aspects of Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) design, deployment, maintenance and lifecycle management., Note for Recruitment Agencies - the DAC Beachcroft LLP resourcing team is responsible for managing all current vacancies through direct hiring and referrals.     DACBeachcroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team on a full-time, hybrid basis in our Bristol office. This role would suit someone who has a minimum of 3 years' experience in a 3rd line infrastructure role (or something similar), and who has proven ability to work on multiple projects with varying workloads and priorities., 3+ Years' experience in a 3^rd line infrastructure role or similar
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and liaise and converse at all levels
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and see them through from conception to completion
  • Expert experience using Intune to deploy Laptop operating systems and software packages. This should include building, deploying and managing new operating system versions.
  • Expert experience using Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Expert knowledge of current desktop, laptop and Azure infrastructure.
  • Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manger (MECM) or Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) to create, maintain, and update Windows 10 builds (Desirable)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Server operating systems and core applications
  • Strong Office 365 experience
  • Strong skills supporting Microsoft AD, DNS.
  • Strong skills diagnosing and resolving client application, connectivity and hardware based incidents.
  • Good PowerShell scripting skills
  • Good general networking skills with particular emphasis on wireless networking and VPNs
  • Good Azure experience (Desirable)
  • Good knowledge of two factor authentication and email security solutions (Desirable)
  • Legal industry exposure (Desirable)
  • Legal case management and document management systems experience (Desirable), 5+ A - C GCSE's
  • ITIL V2 or V3 Foundation
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional Qualifications (Desirable)
